Launch of the HLPE-FSN Report #19

The High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN) of the of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) is pleased to announce the launch of the report “Strengthening urban and peri-urban food systems to achieve food security and nutrition, in the context of urbanization and rural transformation” on Tuesday 2 July 2024, at FAO headquarters, in Rome, Italy, and online, at 14.00 CEST.

The event will be opened by Beth Crawford, Chief Scientist ad int. of FAO, and chaired by H.E. Ambassador Nosipho Nausca-Jean Jezile, Chairperson of CFS.

The report will be introduced and presented by Akiko Suwa-Eisenmann, Chairperson of the HLPE-FSN, and Jane Battersby, lead author of the report. 

Paola Termine, HLPE-FSN Coordinator ad int., will moderate the Q&A session.
